Property overview: Our 120 year old traditional fisherman's cottage has been fully modernised and tastefully decorated to provide a home-from-home in the peaceful and picturesque village of Findochty on the Moray Firth coast. Onle metres from the harbour/marina, with sandy beaches nearby. Description of accommodation: The accommodation is on two floors. Spacious lounge and dining room, along with kitchen, utility room and shoewer room on ground floor. Three bedrooms, awash with light fromthe large windows on the upper floor. The lounge has wood burning stove, chinese slate floor and (slightly out of tune) baby grand piano. The separate dining room is furnished in pine with large table that easily seats six. Kitchen is equipped with ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and all the necessary equipment you will need. The freezer, washing machine and dryer can be found in the utility room. The shower room has ample cupboard space, shaver point and vanity mirror with light. Upstairs, the double rooms have king size beds - one a four poster, and the smallest room has two single beds. The master bedroom also has a vanity unit with sink and mirror. All bedrooms have built in wardrobe space. All bed linen, and towels (except beach towels), are provided. In addition, there are a variety of board games, DVD's, books and magazines, puzzles, and xbox for your amusement. Nearby Attractions: Findochty is centrally situated between the rolling farmlands and low hills of Aberdeenshire to the East; Royal Deeside in the South; the high mountains of the Cairngorms in the South-West; and Inverness, the capital of the Highlands in the West. These are all within a sixty mile (100 km) radius. the Moray Coast enjoys long hours of daylight in the summer, with spectacular sunsets. The Moray Firth coast is a nature lovers paradise. The coastline varies from rugged cliffs to sandy beaches, teeming with wildlife - dolphins, seals, seabirds, etc. For the sports enthusiast, there are watersports, golf, fishing, hillwalking, etc. There are Highland Games throughout the summer months; Portsoy boat festival in July; Vintage car rallies, etc. etc. The area is famous for castles, whisky, walking and climbing, sport, wildlife, mountain biking, and other activities too numerous to mention. Pricing Structure: 17th April to 29th May 2010 - 350 30th May to 3rd July 2010 - 395 4th July to 4th September 2010 -£495 Short term breaks possible in winter months or last minute in summer if full week not already booked. Christmas and New year (£500 per week) can begin/end on days other than Saturday if these fall on weekends.
