Gamesroom with PS2, games, vhs videos, and an air hockey table. All fittings are brand new inc central heating and double glazing. Courtyard to the rear with garage, plus secure shed for bikes etc. Description of accommodation: Fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, utility room with 2nd sink, fridge and Bosch washer / dryer. Nearby Attractions: What to do in the Lake District The Lake District is simply the most beautiful area in northern England, being home to Beatrix Potter, Wordsworth, Ruskin, the National Park, mountains galore for walking, cycling, special cycle trails through forests, market towns like Kendal, Keswick, Penrith, and picture postcard villages such as Hawkshead and Kirby Lonsdale.Water activities aplenty on Windermere and Coniston to name but two. Steam railways at Lakeside and further up the coast, Eskdale / Ravenglass (with Thomas the Tank weekends ). Fabulous beaches on the west coast of Cumbria, and Scotland only an hour away. Bustling city's such as Lancaster ( 40 minutes ) and Carlisle ( 60 minutes ) are easily reachable for a day out. The Lancaster Castle Dungeon's Tour is a must, as is viewing and standing on, Hadrian's Wall, built to keep out the marauding Scots 2000 years ago.Nearer to home is Grisedale Forest, great for hiring bikes, specially made adventure trails, and Go Ape! a thrilling adventure up in the canopy of the forest trees including walkways and zip wires. Windermere areaWindermere village is one minute from the doorstep, with shops, a large supermarket Booths, cafes, restaurants ( Indian, Chinese, Italian, English, etc ) traditional pubs ( 4 ), garage, post office, chemists, deli, fresh bread shops, newsagents etc. Why not have your food delivered to the door by Tesco's of Barrow in Furness, they deliver 7 days a week to Windermere. The 3 screen cinema is only 2 minutes down the hill by car, again with restaurants all around it, plus pubs and Inns. Two minutes further down the hill again is Lake Windermere with boat trips all day, every day on the half hour and hour, stopping at Lakeside ( where the steam railway starts / finishes ), Brockhole Visitor Centre, and Waterhead, which is a 10 minute walk into Ambleside away. Grasmere is a beautiful village as is keswick, a bustling market town 20 minutes north of Grasmere. Keswick is also home to Cars Of The Stars, a car museum featuring tv and film cars such as Kit, from Knight Rider !The Beatrix Potter Exhibition Centre is based in Bowness. Lots of live music in the evenings, tapas bars, and 2 disco's if you have the energy. Windermere Golf Club is 5 minutes by car, the pitch and putt in Bowness is the same distance, it depends on how seriously you take your golf ! Tennis courts 5 mins away. We are totally central as Kendal is 8 miles east, Ambleside is 5 miles north, and Hawkshead / Coniston are 7 or so miles west.Further details outdoors:A fully flagged rear courtyard, a garden wc, outhouse for bikes etc, plus a single garage as well, off the rear lane.Completely walled for your children's safety, with a tall gate leading to the back lane. Further detailsHoliday weeks start and finish Saturday to Saturday, checking in from 4.00 pm, checking out by 11.00 am.The holiday week must be paid in full six weeks prior to the booking, or where a late availability is made, full payment with enquiry / confirmation.
