Nestling in an elevated position amongst magnificent fir trees, the cabin, which has 3 bedrooms (1 x double, 1 x twin/double & 1 x bunk beds), provides holiday accommodation of the highest standard for up to 6 people, within a secluded and peaceful 18 ½ acre private woodland estate. Description of accommodation: The Cabin is heated by night storage heaters & briefly comprises: Lounge, which is tastefully furnished with 2 x comfortable leather Sofas and extremely well equipped with T.V/DVD with 12 T.V. channels. Video & music centre. Fitted Kitchen with electric cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave etc with dining area. Shower room with W.C., hand basin and heated towel rail. Outside there is a Veranda leading onto a large deck (newly installed end 2004), & barbeque area complete with picnic table and brick built BBQ. The cabin is ideally positioned to provide privacy and benefits from its views, overlooking young woodland and fields down to Skelwith Bridge and hills beyond. The estate is rated 5 stars by the “English Tourist Council” and is made up of privately owned cosy log cabins in an area of complete seclusion at the foot of the Langdale Valley. Deer, Badger (they love peanuts so remember to take some with you) & Squirrel are among the wildlife to be found around the Cabin, as are a huge variety of birds. We have installed a “BadgerCam” to alert holidaymakers to nocturnal visitors plus we have installed a “NestBoxCam” into one of our nest boxes for extra spring/early summer interest. Located at Skelwith Bridge, approximately 2 ½ miles west of Ambleside the site is perfectly positioned close to Windermere, Coniston, Hawkeshead, Grizedale Forest, Langdale, Grasmere etc. There is a family size swimming pool, changing rooms, sauna, Jacuzzi, separate laundry room and pay phone on site for the use of visitors. Boltons Tarn provides an ideal base for walkers and “couch potatoes” alike with spectacular views from the top of the site across the Langdale Valley and down to Loughrigg Tarn.
