We are an organic farm (in conversion - Soil Association registered) and guests are free to exlpore 50 acres of farm land, water meadows filled with wild flowers and wildlife, fishing lakes (fishing is free to our guests) and the rolling hills of the Taw Valley. We also have lots of animals including rare breed Balwen sheep, Sussex cows, Berkshire pigs, Guinea Fowl, Black rock and Light Sussex chickens and a friendly rabbit! This cottage has a front patio area plus a rear garden with picnic bench. Woodburner, kitchen, lounge and dining area, one shower room, one bathroom, two couble rooms, one bunk bedded room plus cot. The Shippen - Sleeps 6+2+cot - Large open plan barn conversion, very suitable for large families or 'get-togethers'. Huge windows overlooking the valley and plenty of room for all the family's bikes etc. Secure paved patio to rear. Woodburner, very well equipped kitchen, family bathroom, lounge/dining room, two double rooms (one en-suite), one twin room, two galleried landing areas (the 'snugs'), which each have z beds for additional guests. Nearby Attractions: A bridleway corcles the farm and we're also ideally situated between Exmoor and Dartmoor, which is great for walkers wishing to explore the tors and stunning scenery to the North and South. The Tarka Trail is a long and lovely cycling route which can be accessed locally - there are also several cycle hire points. The Big Sheep, The Milky Way and other smaller attractions are a favourite with our younger visitors. Nearby beaches include Woolacombe, Croyde (a must for surfers), Ilfracombe and Hartland. The market towns of South Molton and Barnstaple are within easy reach, and you can find everything you need locally from the nearby village of Chulmleigh which has a butcher, baker, greengrocer and other small shops.
