Nearby Attractions: The Village is a wonderful old Devon village with a large square dominated by a beautiful Church,with thatched cottages around the Square (courtyard cottage is located at the top left hand corner of the Square). An excellent Pub 50 yrds away situated at the bottom of the Square . THE BELL recently won CAMRA Best Pub of the Year. They sell an excellent range of food (local produce) and a great variety of drink including a large collection of malt whiskey. It has a nice beer garden and is also child friendly. It is a Dog friendly pub, if kept on lead. Shop and post office 100yrds (fresh bread etc) The local town of South Molton, 4 miles, has a weekly farmers market. Barnstaple is approx 8 miles away. Other family attractions in the area include The Milky Way, Exmoor Zoo, Brooklands, The Big Sheep, Coombe Martin Dinosaur Park, the RHS gardens at Rosemoor 6 miles away, and multiple National Trust properties. Also close by Exmoor National park, Ilfracombe,Lynton, Lynmouth. Spectacular beaches are a short drive away at Croyde, Saunton Sands,Woolacombe Instow, Westward Ho! and picturesque Clovely Harbour.
