Property overview: This beautifully furnished and decorated bungalow is possibly the ulitmate beach house being situated right on the beach at Polzeath - the living area and two of the bedrooms have lovely, uninterrupted sea views.
Description of accommodation: The accommodation consists of a light and airy open-plan living and dining area with a large picture window to enjoy the wonderful view of the sea. There is a comfortable sofa bed, TV, Sky receiver, DVD, CD, and a payphone. There are night storage heaters throughout.
The spacious and fully-equipped kitchen has everything you could possibly need, with cooking facilities, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. Tea towels and an oven glove are provided.
Mermaid's Purse has three well furnished bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, wash basin, a window seat overlooking the beach and sea, a TV, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, wardrobes with ample storage space. There is also room for a cot.
The second bedroom has twin beds, a wash basin, TV, radio alarm clock and a hairdryer.
The third bedroom has bunk beds, radio alarm clock and a hairdryer.
The bathroom has a bath, an electric shower, wash basin and W.C. Bath towels are provided as is linen.
Mermaid's Purse has a sheltered, private garden with a wooden decking area, and patio furniture with a large sun umbrella. An enclosed shower area and WC are available within a couple of shed areas within the garden, perfect for washing down after a dip in the sea. There is a BBQ so guests can enjoy the long Cornish summer evenings. BodySurf boards are provided, along with a wetsuit drying area and a surfboard rack. There is an outside tap and a hosepipe for rinsing wetsuits.
Change-over cleaning is included, however a midweek clean can be arranged for an extra charge.
Change-over is on Fridays in high season.
Well-behaved dogs with their own bed are welcome (one dog only) at low season for an extra charge.
There is space for one car in the carpark adjacent to the property with a parking permit.
Mermaid's Purse is perfectly situated on Polzeath beach, with direct access to the property from the beach itself. It has unspoilt views towards the sea and can offer amazing sunsets. Polzeath is near Padstow on the Cornish north coast. Nearby Attractions: Polzeath beach is one of Cornwall's best surfing beaches and there are many other surfing and safe for swimming beaches within a short driving distance from Polzeath.
The area is also ideal for walkers with many coastal paths and country walks.
The Eden Project in St. Austell is a short drive away and is a must for visitors to Cornwall.
Flambards Theme Park in Helston will be enjoyed by children of all ages with its fabulous Victorian village and Britain in the Blitz attractions, together with the roller-coaster and many other rides.
