South Molton is the nearest town with its pannier market on Thursdays and Saturdays and a good selection of cream tea shops - always worth a try! Barnstaple is about 18 miles away with its ancient pannier market on Tuesdays and Fridays, in addition to the usual High Street stores and superstores. There are many Houses and Gardens to visit nearby including Arlington Court and Rosemoor.
