The apartment has been designed for practicality and comfort, with the occasional decadence to remind you of where you are. Each room has been independently designed with individually selected fabrics and furnishings. The Oak Room, with its magnificant kingsize four poster, coordinated oak furniture and rich indulgent fabrics and commanding cathedral floor-to-ceiling window is remarkably at ease in its surroundings.
The large gallery lounge has been sympathetically divided to ensure the room lends itself to making sure everyone is able to do their own thing - the study recess for the youngsters or computer buffs, the seating area for those squishy sofa days and the designated TV corner, with its very own corner sofa. Nearby Attractions: Caithness is renowned for its unusual light, extraordinary skies, remarkable coastline & spectacular countryside. Off the A9, Lybster is just under 2 hours drive from Inverness. Wick (with flights from Aberdeen and Edinburgh) & Thurso are both within 15 & 30 minutes drive respectively.
Lybster offers hotels, cafe, restaurant, local butcher, convenience store & newsagent as well as a museum, picturesque harbour, small cove pebble beach & 9 hole golf course (this heathland course offers great views of the Moray Firth). Across the road from the apartment is the excellent Portland Arms offering a welcoming village atmosphere, with quality daytime and evening menus (including children's menus).Lybster’s Waterlines Visitor Centre gives a fascinating insight into its unique role in the once vibrant fishing industry. For the active angler, naturalist, ornithologist or photographer there are castles, historical sites, lochs & rivers all within easy reach.
