Property overview: Valley Lodges are part of the Honicombe Manor Holiday village, set in St. Ann's Chapel, in the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and recently declared World Heritage Status. The two lodges are privately owned and managed and lie next door to each other on the edge of the site, beside a stream, fields and a wooded area. Whether you are looking for peace and tranquility or activities for a family this is the ideal place.The lodges are reversed living with the living room opening on to a large sundeck. Use of both indoor and outdoor heated pools, gym, sauna, tennis courts and children's play area are included in the rental, together with access to all other site facilities. Description of accommodation: On the ground floor are one double and two twin bedrooms with a bathroom and separate shower room. A door from the double bedroom leads to the patio. On the first floor is the living accommodation, fully fitted kitchen and sitting room with dining area to seat up to 8. A patio style door leads to the large south facing sun deck with outdoor furniture. A large sofa bed is available in the lounge.There is ample parking close to the lodges and extensive wooded grounds. Storage heating is included in price, additional electric heaters available on £1 coin meter.Bed linen included, bring your own towels. Nearby Attractions: Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are both approximately 12 miles away. The North & South coasts of Devon and Cornwall are 15 - 20 miles with access to all water sports. Closest beaches are Whitsand Bay & Looe.
The Tamar Valley is an area rich with mining and shipping history and Morwhellam Quay and mine is a fascinating day out for adults and children. Also in the valley are Cothele House and Buckland Abbey (both NT) and many lovely walks.Golf is available at St. Mellion (4 miles), Launceston & Hurdewicke. Eden Project & Lost Gardens of Heligan are each approx 30m. The Tamar Valley Railway line runs from Gunnislake (1m) to Plymouth back and forth over the Tamar and the Brunel bridge at Saltash.
