Fishing is a popular sport in the town and day permits can be bought locally. The scenery along the River is spectacular! The Hirsel Estate is within walking distance with craft shops and a lake - excellent for bird watching. There is also a good Golf Course - approximately 5 minutes walk from the Apartment. Some shops are open until 10pm, but Galashiels a short drive away offers Cinemas, and 24hour shopping.
