Description of accommodation: Original crofters cottage built in 1858, modernised to today's standards. A comfortable lounge with an open fire which runs the central heating system and hot water. If you do not want to light the fire there are electric heaters in all rooms and an immersion heater to heat the hot water. The kitchen is well equipped with a washing machine, tumble dryer. fridge, freezer. microwave and calor gas cooker. There is also a dining table and four chairs. The bathroom is modern and has toilet, basin, bath with shower. The loft bedroom is accessed via a staircase from the hallway and contains 1 double and 2 single beds. There are 3 large Velux windows which let in plenty of light, these are equipped with blackout blinds. Nearby Attractions: Lochdon is situated about 3 miles from the ferry terminal in Craignure, where there is a Tourist Information Centre, a general shop and post office, a restaurant which serves meals and snacks. The local pub The Craignure Inn also serves very good meals. There is a hire shop for kayaks and bikes. You can visit Duart Castle, home of the Clan Maclean, tour the castle and visit the tearoom. Duart is off the road between Lochdon and Craignure. At the Isle of Mull Hotel, Craignure, there is a swimming pool and sauna which is open to the public.
