Description of accommodation: Hafton Castle is a superb house with its wonderful indoor pool, billiard room, play room, big conservatory and lots of outdoor space, plenty of space for the large number of people it sleeps. The magnificent front hall has lots of seating, grand piano and a wood-burner. The 19 bedrooms are very comfortable and all have en-suite showers. The building has some magnificent features, beautiful ceilings, carved doors and a superb staircase. There are numerous spacious public rooms. The drawing-room has a bar area and double doors onto a smaller drawing-room and the two rooms open out into one very large room, perfect for weddings or other gatherings. Hafton Castle is the perfect venue for weddings, birthday parties, family holidays reunions etc. We can recommend local caterers for special occasions and also musicians, in fact we will be delighted to help in any way we can to make your special occasion perfect. Rooms can also be booked for bed and breakfast: Double room, bed and breakfast, based on 2 persons sharing £120 per night Single Occupancy £80 per night, bed and breakfast. Outside the gardens have old trees, lawns and the views across the Loch are beautiful.
Nearby Attractions: There are many local activities, golf, swimming, clay pigeon shooting, sailing, fishing and quad biking to name but a few. Dunoon itself is the home of the Cowal Highland Gathering. The Castle can be reached from Glasgow Airport in approximately 45 minutes by car and guests usually arrive via the ferry which departs from Gourock and crosses the Firth of Clyde, a very romantic and atmospheric start to their stay at Hafton.
Pricing Structure: High season prices....Shoulder season....Low Season -- weekly rates £8,500 £6,000 £5,000 We make a charge of £500 to cover the heating costs for the very large indoor pool.Heating and electric are by meter, logs are supplied for the woodburning stoves. £500 good housekeeping deposit. A deposit of 30% of the rental charge will secure a booking with the remainder payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.
