Conveniently positioned just a few miles from the market towns of Okehampton, Launceston and Tavistock, the village is a perfect place from which to explore the delights of the Dartmoor National Park, while the north coasts of Devon and Cornwall are only 45 minutes drive away. Bridestowe lies on one of the newly-established, national cycle routes and is very close to the Okehampton to Tavistock railway track – now a delightful cycle path. The historic village of Lydford with its famous waterfall and gorge is only 3 miles away. The moor itself is the ideal open space to enjoy walking, bird-watching and horse-riding. The cottage has full, oil-fired central heating and the added advantage of a cosy, open fire in the living room for those colder evenings. Description of accommodation: Homeleigh is a cosy but surprisingly spacious cottage, sleeping 6 people. Downstairs is a good-size living room with feature fireplace, a separate dining room and small but well-equipped kitchen. The living room has TV, DVD player, music centre and a small library of books on local interest and natural history. There is also a selection of CD’s and DVD’s available for use. The kitchen includes an electric oven, a fridge-freezer and microwave. There is a washing machine in the utility room outside. The back door leads from the dining room into the small, walled garden with patio area and picnic table. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, a third twin bedroom (with computer and internet access) and a family bathroom. Heating is provided by radiators in all rooms. There is Wifi internet access in all rooms.
