Property overview: Larachbeag is a comfortable, renovated lower cottage flat on the main street of this picturesque Perthshire village. With its open fire to welcome you, it is an ideal base for two people who enjoy walking, climbing, cycling, golf, watersports or fishing, or just enjoy beautiful scenery. All the village amenities are close by, including supermarket and laundrette. There are many hotels, restaurants and teashops, all within easy walking distance. Across the street is a newsagent's, and an outdoor shop which specialises in the hire of canoes, bikes, skis and climbing equipment. Description of accommodation: Larachbeag has a spacious comfortable living room, with open fire, dining table, sofa-bed, TV, and hi-fi/DVD player. The open fire burns coal, peat or logs. The kitchenette, though small, is well equipped, and has cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster, as well as ample utensils. The pleasantly-lit bedroom, besides its comfortable double bed, has a wardrobe and chest of drawers. The adjacent bathroom has WC, washbasin, shower over the bath, heated towel rail and shaver point. For your safety, there are two smoke alarms, two extinguishers and a fire blanket. Electricity is by £1 coin meter. Off-road parking is next to the house. Well-behaved pets are accepted by arrangement. Please note, Larachbeag is strictly for non-smokers. Nearby Attractions: On Loch Tay, boats can be hired at Kenmore, at the far end of the loch. Loch Earn (8 miles) has a watersports centre. Killin has a local 9 hole golf course.The mountain ridge Meall nan Tarmachan, and Perthshire's highest peak, Ben Lawers, can be seen from the village, are easily reached, and are popular with hillwalkers. Less strenuous local walks start from within the village.The famous Falls of Dochart are a five-minute walk away, and Loch Tay is less than a mile away.
