Description of accommodation: The farmhouse is a beautiful, well presented 3/4 bedroom property which sleeps up to 6 people + a cot. It offers: 1 double bedroom, 2 twin bedrooms and a small boxroom suitable for a cot. There is a main bathroom on the ground floor and a toilet upstairs. The fully equipped kitchen leads onto a dining room (with lcd tv) and a separate lounge, which houses a widescreen colour television and DVD player. The farmhouse is centrally heated and has an oil fired stove in the lounge. There is a patio and barbecue area to the front of the house, along with a large garden. All linen, hand towels, bath mats and tea towels are provided but we ask that you provide your own bath towels. We accept one well behaved pet by arrangement only. The farmhouse is situated 0.5 miles from the nearest public road and has ample parking facilities. Access to the property is via a private road. Nearby Attractions: The area has lots of activities and attractions for adults and children, including watersports, cycling, mountain biking, fishing, pony trekking, golf, forest walks, historic castles and many more. Family days out can include trips to our local chocolate factory or a nearby farm park. There is also a variety of places to eat out, from contemporary restaurants to local pubs. The nearest pub is approximately 5-10 minutes by car, in the small village of Crocketford. There is another country pub approximately 15 minutes away or visitors can enjoy the nightlife in Dumfries.There is a local shop nearby for visitors to purchase daily papers and groceries.
