Mole Catcher’s Cottage was built around the early 1900’s for the local lead mining community and was where the village’s mole catcher lived. It has been recently renovated and is set in it's own walled garden situated in the heart of the secret North Pennines, in the village of Allenheads. The cottage has various board games, books and DVD’s please feel free to bring your own films
Description of accommodation: Beamed throughout, the cottage has one double and one twin bedroom, a living room with wood burning stove and a charming modern kitchen and bathroom. The cottage has full double glazing and is heated throughout by electric storage radiators. The beds have cosy warm duvets and bed linen and towels are provided for your stay. All electricity costs are included in the price, however if you would like to use the stove there is an additional charge for fuel. There is off-road parking. Nearby Attractions: Within walking distance of the Allenheads Inn and other village amenities the cottage provides a fantastic base within which to explore the surrounding countryside. Hadrian’s Wall, Kielder, Hexham and the Lake District are all a short distance away. The area is famous for its beautiful walks and cycle rides, indeed Allenheads is halfway on the Coast to Coast cycle route from Whitehaven to Sunderland. Pricing Structure:
