Description of accommodation:

The cottages have been awarded 'Gold' by Visit Britian for 2009/2010

The houses are all beautifully furnished with exquisite soft furnishings, thoughtful extras and of course they are spotlessly clean.  The Station is a tranquil place to relax in and a place to come home to after a day spent exploring. Each house has been decorated and furnished in differing styles to suit varying tastes. The houses all have the same facilities, and each sleeps between 4-6 people.

Each house used to serve differing purposes in the life of the Station so guests may be interested to stay in a particular house.

The Refreshment Hall also used to contain a small office, parcel office and cellar.  It is now furnished with a French theme.

The Porters Office also used to contain the Ladies Waiting Room, Gents and Ladies toilets and a small parcel office.  It is now furnished in a fresh country style.  This house is wheelchair accessable and has a downstairs bedroom with ensuite.

The  Ticketing Hall also used to contain the Ticketing Hall office, which served as the main station office, staff room and guards’ room.  It is now decorated in a traditional Victorian style.
