One of the best positions on the quayside, with uninterrupted sea views across harbour and towards Torbay from its windows and especially from the sunny galleried balcony. Equipped to offer couples and small families everything necessary for the perfect self catering holiday retreat, sleeping up to four. New to this website is our quaint cottage over three floors with private car parking and sleeping up to four which is situated on King Street, within easy walking distance to the main shops, restaurants and just a few minutes walk from the marina, breakwater and a small pebble beach. The property just 4 metres away from the inner harbour-edge where from the balcony you can sit enjoy the sunshine watching the sailing / fishing boats entering and leaving the harbour. Rental includes quality bed linen & towels, gas central heating, free wi-fi from anywhere within the cottage and its own car parking bay just a few minutes walk away and in sight of the cottage. Recently fitted new kitchen with modern and contemporary kitchen units, with fully fitted dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and electric oven with ceramic hob. Seating for four around the table quality cutlery and a wall mounted Flat Screen TV. On up to the lounge which is on the first floor with a comfortable three seater sofa and two armchairs plus two balcony window seats, for entertainment we have a 32” flat screen TV with Digital Freeview and DVD /Tape player. Selection of books, dvd’s and VCR film tapes to watch. On the top floor the main bedroom, which overlooks the harbour, has a comfortable pocket sprung double bed, bedside cabinets, flat screen TV, built in wardrobe/cupboard area, washbasin & storage, radiator and heated towel rail. The second small bedroom has full size fitted bunk beds and drawer storage unit.
Nearby Attractions: There is plenty to keep children entertained, the replica of the Golden Hind moored in the harbour, several safe beaches as well as a seawater swimming pool, which is refilled daily with each high tide and the perfect place to explore rock pools. The harbour itself offers the excitement of a working fishing port and is also the place to book your seat on a boat trip across Torbay or to neighbouring Dartmouth. Or you can stroll around the maze of narrow streets to see the quaint colourful cottages and get a birds eye view the harbour, marina and bay. A walk up to Berry Head is rewarded with stunning views and amazing walks. You can also join the South Devon Coastal Path or wander around the Napoleonic Fort at the Berry Head Country Park National Nature Reserve. In the evening, Brixham’s harbour is lit with coloured lights, whose reflections dance across the water. The many bars and restaurants come to life, offering a wide range of dishes including the day’s catch of fish and shell food. Other attractions nearby include: at Churston - an 18 hole Golf Course, Go-Kart Track and the Railway Station, where you can catch the Steam Train to Kingswear; at Paignton - a Water Park and Zoo; at Babbacombe - a Model Village and Cliff Railway to the beach.
