Property overview: We have two stone cottages and one timber lodge in lovely settings around Loch Sween on the west coast of Argyll. We are surrounded by fields and woodland which are a haven for wildlife and flowers. We no longer farm but have chickens, a vegetable and fruit garden and make willow baskets and run courses. The cottages, house and workshop are heated by a central log fired boiler. The lifestyle is as green as the surrounding vegetation. Our changeover day is Friday. Description of accommodation: Byre and Stable Cottages are on two floors and sleep four plus a cot in two bedrooms. Kirkland Lodge is a single storey building and sleeps three plus a cot. All accommodation is exceptionally well equipped to provide a home from home for the perfect relaxing holiday. Nearby Attractions: Places to visit include Kilmartin House Museum which is an interpretation centre for the standing stones, cairns and rock art of the area. Immerse yourself in the ancient landscape and then enjoy a delicious lunch in the green oak conservatory. Tayvallich has a pub, shop and coffee shop and leads on to Taynish nature reserve. You can enjoy a stroll along the Crinan Canal, watching the boats go through the locks and have coffee and cake at Crinan Hotel coffee shop. There are lovely beaches at Kilmory Knap and the forest has a network of roads which are fantastic for cycling and walking. You can visit the islands of Arran, Gigha, Mull & Iona, Islay and Jura. Boat trips out of Crinan will take you to the Corryvreckan Whirlpool and you may see dolphins, porpoises, sea eagles and golden eagles. Take a three mile walk from the farm and see osprey, heron, buzzards, deer, otter, seals and red squirrels. There are re-introduced European Beavers on a loch in the forest within one mile of Seafield.
