Description of accommodation: The cottage is ideal for families; it sleeps four having a galleried double bedroom overlooking the vaulted ceiling of the lounge, and another bedroom with bunk beds on the ground floor. The beautifully decorated and furnished cottage has a lounge/diner with TV, FreeView, video, a comfortable three-piece suite and a dining table and chairs. The kitchen provides everything the holidaymaker could need with oven, microwave, fridge, toaster, plenty of saucepans and cooking utensils, cutlery, glasses and crockery. The bathroom is situated on the ground floor. To the back of the cottage is a patio area with patio furniture and a sun umbrella. There is a meter for electricity taking £1 coins. There is an on-site laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer; there is also a freezer for guests' use and a payphone. Well-behaved dogs are welcome by prior arrangement. The Monkey Sanctuary at Looe is only a 15 minute drive from Herodsfoot, and for the more active visitor, Sibleyback Lake with its Watersports Centre offers windsurfing, sailing and canoeing. There is a tearoom and there are some lovely walks around the lake.
Herodsfoot is a wonderful area for walkers, including a six mile walk from your door at Tresarran down the West Looe river into Looe. The owners have written up directions for their favourite walks and copies are available in the cottages. A visit to the picturesque fishing village of Looe is a must and visitors can enjoy some of the excellent seafood restaurants and sample the 'catch of the day'.
