Property overview: This quality cottage is situated in Argyll on the Cowal Peninsula within the Lomond and Trossachs National Park in a landscape of outstanding natural beauty. Forest walks, golfing, fishing, birdwatching and sailing are just some of the local attractions. Views from the sun lounge are amazing. Hills, forest glens and lochs. You can watch yachts sail on Holy Loch and enjoy great views of seabirds like gannets and eider ducks. On clear days can see as far as Arran. The village has a shop & post office, is only 7 miles from Dunoon where you will find a good variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and entertainments. Electricity, heating, bedlinen and towels are included in the weekly rate.
Description of accommodation: The cottage sleeps up to four. It has been recently modernised and is furnished tastefully throughout. Bedlinen and towels are provided for your comfort. Heating is by electric storage heaters. A fully fitted kitchen is well-equipped with oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The living dining area is comfortable with leather sofa and chairs. Sky Freesat can be enjoyed on the flat-screen TV if you have time to watch. A good selection of DVDs, books and games are available. Sorry no smoking or pets are allowed in the cottage.
Nearby Attractions: There are pubs and restaurant within walking distance of the cottage. A short drive away is the nearby town of Dunoon where you will find plenty of shopping and leisure facillities. If you enjoy outdoor pursuits the hills, glens and Agyll Forest Park offer stunning walking and wildlife. There are two golf courses, river and loch fishing, quad biking and sailing at the nearby marina. All around Dunoon and the Cowal Peninsula there is a great range of country pubs and restaurants in which to spend an enjoyable evening. Benmore forest gardens has a stunning display of giant redwood trees and specimen plants. The cottage is a great place to explore further afield to castles, country houses and the western isles.
